Storm-Washed Driveway Rescue
Last April’s torrential downpour washed out half the Jenkins’ driveway near Coosada Creek. I remember pulling up to see chunks of concrete scattered like broken teeth across their yard, the gravel base completely eroded. Their minivan was stranded in the garage, and the exposed drainage pipe threatened to collapse.
We dropped a 10-yard dumpster by the garage door and had our crew hand-load the larger slabs to avoid damaging the remaining pavement. Used our skid-steer with a grapple attachment for the smaller debris — saved them $1,200 on demolition costs. Two days later, their new concrete was poured over a proper compacted base.
Jamal’s team made our driveway disaster disappear.
